Grand Carpet/Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

  • Grand Carpet regards people as its most valuable asset in everything it does, and has adopted as a primary business objective the creation of a safer and healthier working environment that minimises any loss that may occur, and improves continually.
  • To reach our goal of zero accidents and zero occupational illness, risks arising from our operations and from new products, processes and engineering changes are identified and assessed, then eliminated or brought to an acceptable level.
  • All employees are briefed on the Occupational Health and Safety handbook and related documents, practices, objectives and policy.
  • Through briefing and training programmes, all employees and visitors on our sites are given the skills and competencies they need for health and safety, and their personal awareness is raised.
  • Realistic reports are produced on incidents and accidents so that lessons are drawn from them, preventing recurrence and improving our performance.
  • Employees who contribute to improvements in health and safety are recognised and rewarded.
  • We act in accordance with the health and safety legislation in force in our country and with our compliance obligations.
  • Health and safety requirements raised by employers and third parties are met.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Management System practices are reviewed continually and regularly, with the aim of improving them.
  • Managers in every working area in which we operate are responsible for applying this policy in their own units and for taking and implementing the actions their operations require.
